Family Impacts on Interracial Relationships
Madison Coxwell
Throughout different generations and decades, the idea of interracial relationships have evolved drastically. In the United States, interracial relationships are becoming more and more common. One of the major long term social impacts of interracial relationships is family relations. This research explores the ways that family members influence interracial relationships and the similarities and differences across experiences. The project investigates the role of the family in interracial relationships through a survey that asks respondents questions about their family, quality of relationship, and belief systems. My findings indicates that religiosity and ethnicity play a large role in determining the quality of interracial relationships.
