The Impact and Survival of Obamacare

Rebecca Brooke Burgin

Obamacare, better known as the Affordable Care Act, became a law over a decade ago. Since this act was passed there has been a lot of criticism about it. This is because people have different opinions about whether the policies within the act are truly beneficial and/or if they are constitutional. This law has been up for debate many times within the Supreme Court but it has somehow still survived. This project employs survey methodology to ask college students about their perceptions of the Affordable Care Act and health insurance in general. The findings show the important impact of this law on people with different health concerns and opinions on health care.
