Euler's Theorem

Graden Patterson

This project will focus on a result from one of the most famous mathematicians of all time, Leonhard Euler. In this presentation, we will be looking at relatively prime numbers, observing and using Euler’s Totient function, modular arithmetic, and use these to construct and prove Euler’s Theorem. Used in Cryptography and Network Security, this result from Euler keeps many of the secrets of the world safe.

  • Graden A. Patterson is a senior mathematics major with secondary education certification at Lander University.
