WHY TEACHERS ARE LEAVING THE PROFESSION

The definition of a teacher according to Google is “a person whose occupation is to instruct.” If you ask any teacher what a teacher is or what they have to do, that definition changes tremendously. Teachers are constantly leaving the profession because there is simply too much on their plate. Teachers have to prepare students for state tests, have a lack of support from parents and/or administration, have student behavior issues, and are emotionally exhausted. Why is it fair for teachers to be required to put up with all of these things and expect to stay under these conditions? This is not what teachers signed up for and my research has proven such. Teachers are taken advantage of and are not being supported or treated the way they should be. There are many other factors I have found in my research that are not discussed enough.
