Data analysis is a very important concept in the modern world that may require the distribution of information; however, this data may be personally identifiable information, so must be anonymized to maintain anonymity for individuals in the data. Matt Braaten, Assistant Vice President for Planning, Analytics & Decision-Support at Lander University, entrusted us with creating a web application satisfying his personal requirements that will be able to seamlessly anonymize the appropriate data within a table so that he may be able to send the data to relevant individuals while maintaining confidentiality. From this, we have developed an online system named Anonytics that allows authorized users to anonymize data in a file containing fields and records and export as a zip file that can then be downloaded by the appropriate user.
