Cybersecurity challenges facing businesses

Troy Gilbert, Chukwuzam Idehen, Rhys Peterson

This project outlines cybersecurity challenges faced by small businesses, including DHCP exploits, phishing, ARP poisoning, printer vulnerabilities, ransomware, and open port vulnerabilities. Our methodology involves assuming poor security practices, recreating exploits, and detailing mitigation steps to patch and prevent future attacks. We address both complex and simple issues to reflect the varied strategies hackers employ. The presentation aims to provide the audience with these insights, recommendations, and future-proofing strategies in an accessible format.
