WINNER OF THE JUDGE’S CHOICE AWARD

Scheduling one on one meetings can be difficult to keep track of, especially with so many professors in a given semester. Our goal is to allow students to have a frictionless view of their professors’ schedules to easily allow students to schedule meetings with their professors and peers. This will be an alternative to the typical decentralized emails that are used to normally schedule these kinds of things. Having a centralized website to view all professors and their availabilities will greatly increase efficiency, and will also greatly reduce errors that come with a decentralized approach, such as losing or forgetting an appointment. Having a centralized website also reduces the input necessary for professors as this allows the website to pull from preexisting data to autofill information on the professor’s behalf, such as availability. Decentralized approaches could never autofill data as there’s no predefined way for them to pull from preexisting data. Overall, we hope to reduce user friction, while also keeping required user input to be similar or even reduced from what is typically expected.
