The Effect of Background Music on Classroom Productivity

Sara Summerfield

This presentation will explore the effects of background music on classroom productivity. This research was completed in a Primary Montessori environment, where 3, 4, and 5-year olds are present. Weeks of no music, classical music, instrumental Disney music, and instrumental guitar music were tested. This presentation will provide insight into what type of background music, if any, led to students being the most productive.
