This project, Ticketerr, consists of the development of a web application that accurately displays and analyzes help requests submitted to Lander University’s Information Technology Services (ITS). ITS receives many helps request from various individuals affiliated with Lander University on a daily basis. Having an operational web application that allows for these help requests to be entered and then displayed in a timely manner is a necessity to provide efficient and accurate aid. The purpose of Ticketerr is to build a more efficient help request system in comparison to the current system used by ITS. Ticketerr will allow for ITS workers to easily submit and manipulate help requests by providing a user interface that is intuitive to use. Workers are able to use Ticketerr to enter new help request, see the current ‘open’ or unfinished help requests, filter help requests, and mark help requests as complete. This information is then used to create analytics that showcase the volume of help requests that are entered and completed. As Lander’s population grows each year, ITS needs to keep up with the new influx of requests by updating its ticketing system to be more robust and user friendly. Ticketerr plans to accomplish this feat.
